Best friends Nick Schuyler (Zachary Levi) and Will Bleakley, and NFL players Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith, depart Clearwater, Florida for a fishing trip 70 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico. While attempting to free a trapped anchor before a fierce storm hits, their boat capsizes, throwing the four friends violently into the freezing water.
